Hi. I’m Darlene Kisur. I was born and raised in Welland, Ontario.  I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I can recall playing in the mud and making mud pies and doing the sketching exercise they use to run in the newspaper every week. Although my formal education is in business, I took art courses all along the way in portraits, painting, drawing, sculpting and more.

Eventually I was asked to paint a mural in a friend’s salon. Once I painted the mural, I was sold!

I absolutely loved the freedom that came with painting on such a large canvas.  Since then, I’ve painted close to 300 murals.

I now specialize in murals but also portraits, logo design and a spattering of other painted forms.

I approach each project with a sense of adventure, inspired by the world around me, my clients and my sons. Each design is unique and personal. Repetition would be easier but would not motivate the artist within.

My projects are recognized for their quality designs. level of detail, timely and professional execution. I continue to learn, develop and stretch myself as an artist.
